Axitinib uses and its availability

Axitinib is used to treat patients suffering from advanced renal cell carcinoma after failing one prior systemic therapy. It is sold under the trade name Inlyta. Axitinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (a type of enzyme inhibitor that blocks the action of one or more protein kinases). It comes in the strengths of 1 mg and 5 mg. It comes in the form of tablets for oral administration.

Axitinib 5 mg doses are only taken on the prescription of the doctor. Overdosage of the medicine does not have any known antidote; if an overdose happens, consult the doctor for further severity. The patient can experience mild side effects like high blood pressure, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, tiredness, rash, dressed appetite, etc. The medicine's severe side effects are thyroid gland problems, unusual bleeding, tear in the intestinal or stomach wall, increased protein in the urine, change in liver function, etc.

Doctors recommend taking Axitinib 5 mg tablet with or without food, and the patient should take it twice a day, about 12 hours apart.

The price offered by innovators or manufacturers abroad is costly, but the Axitinib cost in India is economical. There are numerous certified suppliers in India delivering such medicines in India and abroad, and Ikris Pharma Network is one of the trusted names in accessing medicines and medical facilities ASAP.
